Terms of service
Last updated 30 October 2026
These are the terms for using Critical Finance, a service of Critical Future Ltd ("we"). Using the service means you agree to them.
The service
Critical Finance prepares management accounts, Self Assessment tax returns and company accounts from the data you connect or give us, with Dom, an AI accountant, to explain and act on them. Filing with HMRC or Companies House happens only when you sign and press send: the legal responsibility for what is filed stays with you, as it does with any accountant or software.
Your part
- Give accurate and complete information, and tell Dom when something is personal rather than business.
- Keep your sign-in private and only connect accounts you are entitled to connect.
- Check the figures before you sign. Dom shows you everything before anything is filed.
Price and payment
Prices are shown before VAT; VAT at 20% is added at checkout. Annual plans renew each year and can be cancelled any time; cancellation stops the next renewal. Payments are taken by Stripe.
Connected systems
When you connect Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, a bank or another system, you give us permission to read (and, where you ask Dom to, write) that data on your behalf. You can disconnect at any time from the connections page or from the other system.
What we promise and what we don't
We work to keep the service accurate, available and secure, and we fix mistakes we make. We are not liable for losses from inaccurate information you give us, from third-party systems being unavailable, or for indirect losses; our total liability in any year is limited to what you paid us in that year. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending the agreement
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend an account used unlawfully or in a way that harms the service.
Law
English law applies, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
